I thought your Prezi was really well designed. I liked the way you structured it around a few basic key words and surrounded them with supporting content descriptors. How did you like Prezi? Did you find it difficult to use? I feel that it was a new and different program but with a little experience and messing around with it, I found it to be a really fun way to make a presentation. The most difficult part for me was connecting the various points of content. What do you think was the most difficult part for you in creating your Prezi?
Thank you, Justin. This was also the first time I had used Prezi, but with some practice and exploring I found it a fun alternative to a PowerPoint, as well :) I ended up having so much fun (maybe too much), that I spent an extra couple hours just playing with the software.
I see what you are saying about connecting the content, as it is not as sequential as a conventional presentation, but I did find the ability to control whether the viewer sees the prezi content in a specific order or if they are able to freely click and zoom, a very nice option. The most difficult part for me was probably trying to add just the right amount of information on each point to keep it aesthetically pleasing and even, yet still informative (but not overwhelming). I imagine this will get easier with each Prezi I create.
I really like the way you planned your sequence in Prezi. I'm going to use that sometime! The use of a key word and then a not-so-dizzying rotation to the elaboration worked well for me as a viewer.
And I liked your happy face drawing!
The same style could be adapted for use with an interactive lesson with students. Maybe starting with a vocabulary word, for example, and then rotating for a syllabication and a definition, or maybe for an example sentence. I could see it working in a lot of different applications.
